La Pedrera - 1/21/2009

Casa Mila, more commonly known as La Pedrera, is Gaudi's most highly acclaimed apartment house. It was quite controversial for the better part of 100 years, but today is broadly recognized as one of the world's architectural masterpieces. Urban legend has it that one of the original tenants complained to Gaudi that it was nearly impossible to fit a piano into the curved rooms, whereupon Gaudi advised him to take up the violin.
